Joining us at a point in her life when her confidence had been severely knocked, Mish has worked hard, pursued her City & Guilds qualifications and is thriving.
Mish is now employed by Organic Blooms two days a week alongside continuing her training as a Natureworks trainee, and has played a leading role in our new edible flowers enterprise. Having passed her Level 2 Food Safety in Food Manufacturing with flying colours, she now harvests, prepares and packs edible flower punnets for Abel and Cole to order. She adds, “I also help Wendy with floristry work, cutting and conditioning stems and making up bottle arrangements for events – I recently even supervised other trainees to do this! I love working with the flowers and feel so much more confident than when I first came here.”
Since joining us Mish has had some significant personal achievements, regaining her driving licence, continuing to improve her riding skills, fundraising for the Great Western Air Ambulance who gave her life-saving intervention on the day of her accident, not to mention appearing in our Country File feature earlier this summer! Mish demonstrated her new-found confidence this summer when she was put on the spot and asked to show a group of visitors our edible flowers enterprise. Taking this completely in her stride, Mish impressed everyone with how eloquently and professionally she talked our visitors through the requirements & processes involved.
We look forward to seeing Mish’s continuing successes going forward!
