Elvis, Natureworks trainee Elvis – one of our youngest trainees – joined Organic Blooms as a Natureworks trainee at the start of 2024 and celebrated his 18th birthday with us in the autumn. He has made a fantastic start to his horticultural career, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to try anything and practice new skills.

He says, “I’ve got lots of favourite jobs, but some of the best are mulching, potting on and planting. I’m not so keen on hoeing though!”

Elvis has already made good progress with his City and Guilds work and is a very popular member of our team. We have had several other young trainees join us over the last year and Elvis has become good friends with all of them.

He adds, “I’d really love to have a job in gardening in the future. I don’t like just sitting down all the time, I’d much rather be working outside in the fresh air and the weather.”
