It’s already been non-stop so far this year. It’s still early days for our flowers but Valentine’s Day and Mothers Day felt like whirlwinds – thanks for your great response to our hampers, we’re very glad you like them. It was hard work taste-testing all the marshmallow and chocolate but, hey, someone’s got to do it and it’s given us the energy we need for our new crowdfunding project!

The seasons may be confused – spring, then winter, then spring again – but we’re definitely looking to the future with some very exciting plans. Today we launched our first ever crowdfunding campaign. We’re aiming to raise an ambitious £30,000 to fund the new multi span polytunnel, workshop and toilets that we need to expand into our new field – frankly we’ve all been feeling more than a little nervous about it but our first day has been brilliant, raising £2195 in just a few hours!

We’re incredibly touched by the support we’ve had today – thanks so much to all of you who have pledged and shared so far. £1000 from LV, £300 from the lovely team at J4 Projects and some truly generous pledges from kind individuals have given us a fantastic start. Expanding our growing will enable us to support more people with mental health problems, learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorders including Asperger’s.

We’ve got lovely rewards for you to choose from in exchange for your pledges – our gin and flowers package is proving particularly popular so far – and we’re very pleased to have some extra special rewards to offer you, donated by Pukka, Chelsea Physic Garden and organic no-dig guru Charles Dowding.

Our trainees and staff had lots of fun making our crowdfunding film – you can peruse our rewards and watch our film on our Crowdfunder page and please, please remember to support us by sharing it far and wide!
