Grow your own Cut Flower Business Workshop – 13th, 14th & 15th June 2021

This is the seventh year running our leading-edge workshop which distils all our experience into 3 intensive and stimulating days!  It will be jointly led by Jo Wright, our Director and Horticulturalist and Wendy Paul, our Director and Lead Florist and is ideally suited to those who want to make the step from leisure gardening to running a commercial cut flower enterprise.

We will go into detail on producing cut flowers as a commercial crop, with lots of advice on species selection to suit different products, planning a year round cropping programme, maximising your space, minimum critical inputs etc.

Coronavirus Covid19

Organic Blooms is currently unaffected by the coronavirus Covid19 and we are running all our courses and workshops as usual. All of our groups are small and much of the activity takes place outside in the fresh air. We also encourage all participants to follow current guidelines on hand washing and catching coughs and sneezes.

Any participant who is unwell on the morning of the course of workshop should not come. If this is the case please email us and we will arrange for you to transfer your booking to an alternative course or workshop.

Description

Grow your own Cut Flower Business – 13th, 14th & 15th June 2022

Our 3-day course is unique in it’s content and level of detail.  Once participants are comfortable with producing the flower crops, we will move on to how we prepare them for market – harvesting, conditioning, making a hand tied bouquet, packaging etc.  There will be lots of opportunity for hands-on experience with our flowers so that you can build confidence and get a real feel for the techniques required.

We round the course off with information about the business side of Flower Farming – marketing, pricing, suppliers, costings etc. so that you go away with really useful information and contacts to get started.

We keep our group sizes small – (even smaller to maintain safe distancing!) so that you will get all your questions answered and good levels of guidance during the practical tasks. If it’s time for you to make that career move and grow your own cut flower business, we look forward to meeting you!

Cancellations
Cancellations 12 weeks or more before the course, workshop or event start date receive a full refund.
Cancellations up to 4 weeks before the course, workshop or event start date receive a 75% refund.
Cancellations up to 2 weeks before the course, workshop or event start date receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations within 2 weeks of the course, workshop or event start date are not entitled to a refund.
