Polytunnel Growing and Propagation Workshop – Thursday 24th September 2020

Polytunnel and Propagation Workshop

With over 2500m2 of polytunnel space at Organic Blooms, we have learnt to use these to their maximum potential. Extending our season and increasing stem length are two of the main benefits, but we will be covering all aspects of growing in tunnels, including spacing, hygiene, succession, irrigation etc.  Based at our own cut flower nursery, we have designed a jam-packed day to both equip you with knowledge and inspire you to either begin or continue to expand your area of protected growing.

We teach from our experience of 20 years as growers and can give you lots of real examples from our site.  We cap our group sizes at 12 so that there is plenty of opportunity to have your questions answered.  You will go away inspired and equipped to get planting.

£130.00 inclusive of refreshments and materials.  Bring a packed lunch to enjoy in our gardens!

Coronavirus Covid19

Organic Blooms is currently unaffected by the coronavirus Covid19 and we are running all our courses and workshops as usual. All of our groups are small and much of the activity takes place outside in the fresh air. We also encourage all participants to follow current guidelines on hand washing and catching coughs and sneezes.

Any participant who is unwell on the morning of the course of workshop should not come. If this is the case please email us and we will arrange for you to transfer your booking to an alternative course or workshop.

Organic Blooms is a Social Enterprise based just outside of Bristol. We grow beautiful seasonal certified organic British cut flowers and herbs – sustainably and without the use of artificial chemicals.

Growing cut flowers is therapeutic, at Organic Blooms we use all the wonders of working with nature to benefit local people with disabilities and support needs. We have adapted our working nursery and employ specialist staff to support people to gain valuable skills and the confidence to get into work.

If you love flowers, care about where they come from and how they are grown, then an Organic Blooms workshop could be just what you’ve been looking for!
